Exercise Equipment And The Infomercial
Not sure how all this will play out but the more I stay up late and surf the cable channels on my television I get mesmerize on people hawking exercise equipment and instructional dvds. If you stay up long enough to hear the pitch you will start to see that the price drops while the special add ons increase all for that one low price. Are these the best products you can buy in the marketplace? Not sure if that is true but as I continue to watch I get more suckered in.
Just recently I acted on one of those infomercials for the first time. You see I’ve been somewhat skeptical on calling the 800 number and giving my credit card info. Not that I am nervous about giving my personal information but what I knew was coming. You know too, right? The automated voice on the other end who takes the order. No real person to answer questions. Just this voice that takes you through the process. But that isn’t the worst of it. It’s the up sells the I keep hearing about that I do not want. So now it brings into question do I really want this exercise piece of equipment after all?
Buying on the Internet may feel the same way to many but online fitness stores with easier check outs are a lot less painful than dealing with an automated voice. Still if you are not sure call them and speak to customer service where a real person will answer your questions. Or leave a message for that real person to get back to you. Feel better now? I do.
