Hydration is easy with water cooler packs

Keeping hydrated while out on a long hike may not always be the easiest task.  In fact, in many cases people plan ahead by filling canteens and bottles full of water, however minutes into the trip the liquid brought along is extremely warm and no longer desirable.  This no longer has to be the norm with a water cooler.  For some who enjoys being in the middle of nature and has a infatuation with hiking hydration canteen packs are a must.  Not only will the liquids stay extremely cold, but the conveniences of these bags are unheard of. Baltimore Orioles at my Backyard Bird Feeder

If you have a backyard bird feeder, there’s a chance you may see a Baltimore Oriole or two come visit for a snack.  I saw one while I was playing golf last year and because I don’t see them all that often it was enough to distract me from my lousy game. These birds have very bright orange and black features, and they’re quite distinctive once you know what to look for.  Generally, the male birds are a darker orange or yellow orange, while the females are a bit paler in color.  Males only have one white wingbar, while the females have two across their shoulders.  Telling the two apart can be a bit difficult since they do look very similar, but the wingbars make it somewhat easier if you have binoculars or see one up close.  In fact, many people look for Baltimore Orioles during the spring, which is when they migrate. Yaquina Fireplace Screen

On the Oregon cost stands the Yacquina Head Light. It’s a lighthouse that stands close to the mouth of the Yaquina River near Newport in Lincoln County. At 93 feet, it is the tallest lighthouse in the state of Oregon.  It’s actually been used in a few movies, but to me the real selling point of this lighthouse is the simple fact that this still active lighthouse is a wonderful building.  It’s the inspiration for the Yaquina Stained Glass Fireplace Screen from Meyda Tiffany.
